How much is it? Small-$200, Medium- $300, Large- $400.
Why did you chose this Tablet? Intuos makes the best quality Tablets for reasonable prices. I never have a problem with the nubs wearing down, the size is wonderful and just overall quality for the price. I've also owned the intuos3 and the Graphire4.
Negatives: Wacom doesn't produce the best chords, buy a PS3 controller chord as backup. The intuos4 was built with poor mini USB ports, both ended up pooping out on me in less than a year and a half. Because of this flaw I would suggest getting an intuos3.
What is a Tablet? A pad and pen you plug into your computer that you use to draw on the computer with. for more information, either click the link above, or google it.
I have the same issue, it's the chord. I use my external harddrives chord, or even my PS3 controller chord. I think the defualt chord it comes with is just kinda cheap, and if you bend it to far or beat it up a bit it won't connect the same.
Basically any USB to B Chord will work, but only if it's a good quality one, I had this same problem and purchased 2 different USB to B Chords, they didn't work. So now I use either my External Harddrive chord, or even the PS3 controller chord is the same thing and works great. So if you need to buy a new chord see if you can buy a PS3 controller chord rather than just a random spare.
The only thing that annoys me about my shiny new Intuos4 M is in fact that: it's too damn shiny! I can absolutely NOT use the express keys without smearing fingerprints all over it >.< But it is quite an improvement in regards to my Bamboo ... ^^
I'm thinking of eventually upgrading from my Bamboo Fun pad to something else. I take it you might recommend an Intuos. (I see the prices aren't bad, either.) Have you had any problems with yours, or things you had to get used to? I'm being cautious about shopping for a tablet. I love using a tablet...my first was a 4 X 5 Graphire4. I love my Bamboo Fun but I know it'll wear down someday. Nothing good lasts forever... Thanks in advance.
Yeah Bamboo's are more like the "Everyones Tablet" they are affordable and easy to find, but the intuos tablets are more professional, better quality, And better wear. I would definitely suggest moving up to intuos when you have the chance.
Thanks, good to know. The one I got was the only one they had at BestBuy (haven't had WACOM tablets since. Philistines ) Figured that Bamboos were beginner/intermediate and the Big Boys/Girls use Intuos or others. I'll have to content myself with what I have, I'm strapped for $$. But your input is appreciated; I'll look into getting an Intuos in the future when I think I might have earned it (money-wise and capability-wise)
